MUSIC
Music has always been a part of my life. Being the youngest of 6, there were many different types of music floating around the house and I took it all in. At 17 I got my first pawn shop acoustic guitar. My girlfriend at the time taught me how to read chords and I never looked back. I was a drummer for years and was gonna make a go at the instrument, but alas, once I got a taste of putting my poems to music and being out on stage, drums became last years instrument. Luckily it’s like riding a bike and occasionally I’ll get back behind them. In fact, I played all the drum parts on my solo CD. I surprised myself.

I’ve been in lots of bands over the years, most of which you’ve never heard of and some I’d like to forget. I’m currently the singer/songwriter/guitarist for the Celtic Rock band Mother Grove. It’s the most successful band I’ve ever been involved with. The musicianship in this band is stellar, the energy is contagious and the fans are the best in the world.

My solo stuff is all “work in progress”. I post it virtually “as it happens” on the little music player over on the bottom left and also at my MySpace page. Sometimes it’s good…sometimes not so much. But I like the rawness of it.
